The implementation of a National Health System (NHS) that will guarantee high quality healthcare services as well as other important matters involving the pharmaceutical industry were discussed during the first meeting between Health Minister George Pamborides and the board members of the Cyprus Association of Research and Development Pharmaceutical Companies (KEFEA).
During the meeting, the Association stressed the need to implement a sustainable and effective NHS the soonest possible that will safeguard access to effective and safe medicines for all Cypriot patients’.
The two sides agreed to continue to engage in constructive dialogue. The Association voiced its intention to contribute to the Minister’s efforts with views and proposals, at the same time providing any other support it has at its disposal on a European level as a member of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
